Electron-DS60 Build Photos

This series of photos is provided to assist the builders of the Dynamic Soaring Electron in obtaining maximum performance from thier radio controlled sailplane.  Some alternate build approaches are included in the collection of photographs to improve crash tolerance and increase performance.  Most of the modifications will add weight so it is up each individual to decide whether they like them or not.
Building up the wing:
Installing the Radio Gear
Finishing the wing:  (note wing spackling, fuselage reinforcement and alternate taping method)
2 Layers of tape (90 degree bias) with sanding on each layer, bottom first)
HEAVY BUILD...  77 adhesive used on first layer only
Wing Spackling, 2-3 layers of spackel and sanding
Fuselage Reinforcement with 1/8 dia wire
Appearance prior to covering
Single piece covering technique with heat gun and iron (don't forget the 77 adhesive)
Tack all four sides of covering material (not leading edge and heat-gun shrink
Bond covering material to tape.
