Coyote - Newark CA, RC Glider Slope and DS Flying Site

Description:
Excellent site from virtally any wind direction. Wind blowing through the bay feeds this site well.
Good front side lift and 3 DS-able locations. Check in on Glider Hill for frequency management. Update(7/6/04): Glider activities to be isolated on Glider Hill. DS allowed Monday thru Friday only. (no holidays) South hill only. Trail lookout required. DON"T BLOW IT!!! Coyote Hills became a 200mph DS site on 5/28/04!

Directions:
From 880 N:
Hwy 84 / Decoto Rd Exit
Turn Left onto Hwy 84 (toward Dumbarton Bridge)
Paseo Padre Pkwy / Thornton Ave Exit
Turn Right onto Paseo Padre Pkwy (1 mile to Patterson Rance Rd)
Turn Left onto Patterson Ranch Rd
Pay Entrance Fee and follow road to last parking area (by visitor center)
Park near in one of the first spots after making the U-turn
Start walking up and to the right until you find the railroad tie trail
Follow it up to the top. Glider hill is on the left. Possible DS hill on the right

U-turn at the end of the road:

Trail head starts about 50 yards to the left at the end of the road. Just start walking up between the hills and look for the path with the railroad ties. You will walk through a couple of picknick areas on your way. Once you find them you'll know your on the right path. It was longer than I expected the first time I went so keep going until you find them.

DS Spot:
South Hill: From Glider hill, take trail South. Continue South on Ridge line until the Ridge ends. That's the spot!
