| Driving Directions: 680 to Calaveras Rd. Exit. Zero your Trip Odometer when you hit Calaveras Rd. South on Calaveras Rd. (ease side of Highway) Left on Welch Creek Rd. (trip odometer reading = 4.0) Note, if you don't have a parking pass you'll need to pick up a day use permit at the other park entrance on Geary Rd. (trip odometer = 4.4) On Welch Creek, Eagle's View Trail head. (trip odometer 6.7) On Welch Creek, second parking lot (trip odometer = 6.7) |

| Walking Direction: From the parking lot, walk accross the street to the trail head. Walk Eagle's View Trail to the "T". SW slope lies directly behind the trail marker at the "T" Turn right and walk for another 10 minutes to get to the DS site. |

| Update: I've DS'ed the spot were I'm standing for the shot of the front face. The road follows the ridge line and there's a nice bowl on either side. Use the calaveras weather station for wind information on the weather links. Last time I went up for a south wind. The average reading at the site matched the calaveras station exactly for average wind speed. Lots of poison oak on the north facing slopes. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
